By purchasing a subscription to our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy.
2. Nature of Digital Goods and Services
KathaSuno provides digital content and services, including streaming access to multilingual audio stories. Our services are characterized by the following:
- Instant Access: Upon successful subscription payment, you receive immediate access to premium content
- Digital Delivery: All content is delivered digitally through our online platform
- Non-Tangible Goods: Our services consist of digital audio files and streaming services, not physical products
- Immediate Consumption: Content can be accessed and consumed immediately upon subscription activation
Due to the nature of digital goods and the instant delivery of our services, special refund conditions apply as outlined in this Policy.
3. No Refund Policy
3.1 General No Refund Policy
All subscription payments made to KathaSuno are non-refundable.
Once you have successfully subscribed to any of our plans (Monthly or Yearly), you immediately gain access to premium content and services. Because:
- Digital content is delivered instantly upon payment confirmation
- Premium features and audio stories become accessible within seconds of subscription activation
- The nature of digital goods does not allow for return or exchange once accessed
- You have the ability to preview service features and content details before making a purchase decision
We do not provide refunds for any subscription fees paid, including but not limited to:
- Monthly subscription fees
- Yearly subscription fees
- Promotional or discounted subscription fees
- Partial periods of unused subscription time
3.2 No Partial Refunds
We do not offer pro-rated refunds or partial refunds for unused portions of your subscription period, even if you:
- Cancel your subscription before the end of the billing cycle
- Do not use the Service during your subscription period
- Experience a change in personal circumstances
- No longer wish to use the Service
3.3 Acknowledgment of No Refund Policy
By completing your subscription purchase, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:
- You have been informed that all subscription fees are non-refundable
- You understand the instant and irreversible nature of digital content delivery
- You waive any right to claim a refund after the subscription is activated
- You have had sufficient opportunity to review our Service, terms, and pricing before making your purchase
4. Exceptions and Special Circumstances
4.1 Technical Issues and Service Failures
While refunds are generally not provided, we recognize that exceptional circumstances may arise. If you experience any of the following, please contact us immediately:
- Payment Processing Errors: You were charged multiple times for the same subscription due to a technical error
- Unauthorized Charges: You did not authorize a subscription charge and can provide evidence of unauthorized access
- Service Unavailability: Complete and prolonged inability to access the Service due to issues on our end (not related to your internet connection or device)
- Billing Errors: You were charged an incorrect amount due to a system error

Important Notice:
4.3 Response Time
We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within 24-48 hours and provide a final decision within 7-10 business days. If a refund is approved, it will be processed within 10-15 business days, and the credit will appear in your original payment method within 5-7 business days thereafter, depending on your bank or card issuer.
5. Subscription Cancellation Policy
5.1 Your Right to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, without penalty.
We respect your freedom to control your subscription and make it easy to cancel whenever you choose. Cancellation can be initiated through:
- Your account profile page by clicking the "Cancel Subscription" button

5.2 How Cancellation Works
When you cancel your subscription:
- Immediate Effect: Your cancellation request is processed immediately upon confirmation
- No Future Charges: You will not be charged for any subsequent billing periods
- Continued Access: You retain full access to premium content until the end of your current paid billing period
- Automatic Expiration: Your subscription will automatically expire at the end of the current billing cycle
5.3 Billing Cycle Details
Monthly Subscription Cancellation:
If you have a monthly subscription and cancel on any day during the month:
- You continue to enjoy premium access until the end of that month (the last day of your current billing period)
- You will not be charged for the following month
- Your access automatically converts to a free account after the current month ends
Example: You subscribed on January 5th and cancel on January 20th. You will retain premium access until February 4th (end of your billing period), and no charge will occur on February 5th.
Yearly Subscription Cancellation:
If you have a yearly subscription and cancel at any point during the year:
- You continue to enjoy premium access until the end of your 12-month subscription period
- You will not be charged for the next year
- Your access automatically converts to a free account after the current year ends
Example: You subscribed on March 1, 2024, for one year and cancel on September 15, 2024. You will retain premium access until February 28, 2025 (end of your 12-month period), and no charge will occur on March 1, 2025.
5.4 No Refund Upon Cancellation
Important: Cancelling your subscription does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid. You have already paid for the current billing period, and you will retain access for the full duration of that period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of your subscription.
5.5 Reactivation After Cancellation
If you cancel your subscription and later wish to reactivate it:
- You can resubscribe at any time by visiting our Pricing page
- Your listening history and preferences are preserved for 90 days after cancellation
- You will be charged the current subscription rate (which may differ from your previous rate if pricing has changed)
6. Payment Method-Specific Cancellation
6.1 UPI Autopay Cancellation
If you subscribed using UPI Autopay:
- Cancelling your subscription on KathaSuno will stop future billing attempts
- You must also cancel the autopay mandate in your UPI app (such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.) to ensure no payment authorization remains active
- This is a requirement set by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)
- Steps to cancel UPI mandate:
- Open your UPI app
- Navigate to "Autopay" or "Mandates" section
- Find the KathaSuno mandate
- Select "Revoke" or "Cancel"
6.2 Card Autopay Cancellation
If you subscribed using a credit or debit card with autopay:
- Cancelling your subscription on KathaSuno automatically stops all future card charges
- No further action is required on your part
- Your card will not be charged after your current billing period ends
6.3 Changing Payment Method
If you wish to change your payment method without cancelling:
- You can update your payment details in your account settings
- The new payment method will be used for the next billing cycle
7. Failed Payments and Subscription Suspension
7.1 Payment Failure
If a subscription renewal payment fails (due to insufficient funds, expired card, declined transaction, etc.):
- We will attempt to process the payment up to 3 times over the following 7 days
- You will receive email notifications about the failed payment
- You should update your payment method or ensure sufficient funds are available
7.2 Subscription Suspension
If all retry attempts fail:
- Your subscription will be automatically suspended
- You will lose access to premium content
- Your account will revert to free tier
- No refund will be issued for the suspended period
7.3 Reactivation After Payment Failure
To reactivate your subscription after a payment failure:
- Update your payment method in your account settings
- Complete a new subscription purchase
- You will be charged the current subscription rate
8. Account Termination by KathaSuno
8.1 Termination Without Refund
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and subscription access at any time if you:
- Violate our Terms and Conditions
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Abuse or misuse the Service
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Engage in any unlawful conduct
No refunds will be provided if your account is terminated for violation of our policies.
8.2 Service Discontinuation
If we decide to discontinue the Service entirely:
- We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice
- You will retain access until the notice period expires
- Pro-rated refunds may be considered at our sole discretion for remaining subscription time
9. Free Trials and Promotional Offers
9.1 Free Trial Cancellation
If we offer a free trial period:
- You must cancel before the trial period ends to avoid being charged
- If you do not cancel, you will be automatically charged the subscription fee when the trial expires
- No refunds are provided if you forget to cancel before the trial ends
9.2 Promotional Discounts
Promotional pricing, discounts, and special offers:
- Are non-refundable like regular subscriptions
- May not be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated
- Are subject to the same cancellation terms as regular subscriptions
10. Chargebacks and Disputes
10.1 Chargeback Policy
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us:
- Your account will be immediately suspended pending investigation
- We reserve the right to permanently terminate your account
- We may pursue legal action to recover costs associated with the chargeback
- You may be prohibited from creating a new account in the future

10.2 Fraudulent Chargebacks

11. Consumer Rights Under Indian Law

- Right to Fair Contract: You are protected against unfair trade practices and misleading advertisements
However, it is important to note that digital goods and services delivered instantly are generally exempt from typical return and refund provisions applicable to physical goods, as acknowledged by Indian consumer protection regulations.

We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our Platform. We will notify you of material changes via:
